I arrived back home at 6 am Sunday morning, exhausted but glad and most of all very pleased about this adventure!
Day one; we played at "Klubb Sockerdricka" in Uppsala and the audience could count themselves lucky since I revealed my new songs that the band and I had never played live before! (And I think we did it very well)
I can strongly recommend the opening act "Clara Lindsjö" to you!

The morning after while we were looking for a place to park our car, Simon - the drummer and hornist in my band, suddenly caught sight of a poster stating: "Guest artist for tonight - Mohlavyr"
Chocked by the surprise my eyes grew even bigger when I stepped inside of the café to find myself surrounded by books, home made sweets, living music, a real piano and paintings on the wall. Café Dreambook was lovely and the acoustic gig we gave with absolutely no microphones was a success!
I admit I am tempted to do more of these kinds of shows..

Later we went to "Lilla Gömman" for our sound check and to meet up with Anders; the arranger and studio technician who also helped us the last time we performed at the pub.
Watch the video and see for yourself how the gig went! In my opinion it was the best!

2 more songs from the EP "Can or Can't" released in May 2009 are now uploaded on the website. Perhaps you have already heard them on Spotify? "My Walk" and "Running Out" are the added tracks!

During the last days, weeks and months, me and the band spent a lot of time rehearsing new songs and even more time in the studio to keep up the progress of the future full length album!

Even thought I liked the old website, I felt that more could be done to it. The old design felt ineffective and stiff(it looked pretty nice thought).

That's why this is the first of three websites designed by me, originalpink to get a major design overhaul. (my own website is one of them, so that's why it's down at the moment)

I hope you all like it better and that the site will come to even better use now!

(whew, that took the last of my powers. Time for the next redesign project... HUUURGH)

This is the second Music Video I've done in collaboration with Erik Friberg (also known as Mr. Original Pink). There has been a long progress with the making of this video, many changes as well as reconstructions, but finally we are happy with the result and hope you will like it too!

I have the great privilege to announce that Mohlavyr is now on Spotify!

Next one up is the event "Kulturnatten" www.orebrokonserthus.com, which will take place the 13th of November and among many great bands, Mohlavyr will play at Örebro Konserthus. Swing by 22:20 and you may be one of the first to hear a couple of new songs of mine..

In the meantime we are working in the studio with new recordings.

About the concert with The Magnificent Seven, Mohlavyr and Lars Demian.

- You feel great when you realize the place is perfectly right for your music!
A cozy environment, a stage big enough for us to fit on and just close enough to make us able to interact with the audience.
The evening started with The Magnificent Seven on stage and we played a short set with 5 songs with only four members (normally we are 6) but the versions got really appreciated!
Next one out was me and the band and I was very nervous... For me this event had become very important with the EP-release, Lars Demian and everything.
But except the struggling with my guitar, I think we did well.
The experiment using an exercise bike as a comp instrument to my song " Mr Grey" was successful so I and the band are eager to try more of these kind of arty things.

Lars Demian himself was amazing. Together with his companion David Tallroth who played tuba, percussion and many other not so common instrument, they created a magical atmosphere and certainly knows how to handle an audience.

Next gig up for Mohlavyr and The Magnificent Seven is next friday at the art school "Örebro Konstskola" where I was a student last year. This night there will be a masquerade party with a Tim Burton theme; who is in my opinion the best movie-director in this world, and therefore a big influence for me and my producing.

After two successful tours and a sold out EP, Mohlavyr have decided to release a new edition of the 4-track "Can or Can't?"! On the 7:th of October will not only the release take place, Mohlavyr and The Magnificent Seven will have the honor of giving a concert together with the swedish folk-singer Lars Demian!
Who's been active since 1991 when he won the Grammis award for best album with "Lycka till" and 2008 got nominated for best album in the category folk music with his record "Välkommen hit".
At present he is out on a tour to promote his new album "Att inte vara Pär Gezzle"
and on the 7:th of October, as aforementioned, he will stop by Örebro.

Mohlavyr and the band have been hardened from what happened during the tour... Unfortunately the car (stuffed with a double bass, cello, stage piano, guitar, accordion and band members) did not..
About 40 kilometers away from the festival in Säljeryd a tire of the car started to make noises and we had to slow down to a snail-like pace. Luckily we arrived right on time for our concert. Despite all the setbacks it was worth the struggle, since the audience clapped their hands and called out for more!

The next morning, heading for Eksjö Stadsfest we considered breaking an entry.
The key to where our instruments had been stored during the night was mysteriously lost..In the last minute a spare key was found and we managed once again to almost arrive on time.

Knowing this would be our biggest concert this far, I became nervous, but eager to give it my best and it turned out to be a good combination, 'cause the gig was great!
The EP sold out and Mohlavyr signed her first autographs on stretched out arms (still at bit chocked about it)

Last but not least we would like to thank our families and friends who helped us to make this tour possible.
We would especially like to thank Ellinor, Mats and Simon!

Today (25/08) the local magazine "Smålandstidningen" published an article about Mohlavyr in the Nässjö pages which is also the hometown of Mohlavyr.
Therefore the article is about herself, how the band started as well as future projects.
But mostly it's to announce the performence at Eksjö Stadsfest this Saturday (29/08)!

Mohlavyr and the band are back from the TOUR in Västerås-Sala-Varberga and are very pleased about their concerts and have whetted their appetite for more!

It has been very inspiring to have heard and gotten in contact with other great bands and we are already fantasizing about future projects that we could do together.

Luckily Mohlavyr have two more concerts to look forward to. That is to say; nothing less than the festival of Säljeryd in Växjö and Eksjö Stadsfest!

The 29th of August; Mohlavyr with full band will give their biggest concert so far at the event Eksjö Stadsfest - www.eksjostadsfest.se 70 artists on 6 different stages will perform.
We are very proud to be booked to this, just like Backyard Babies, Promoe and Petter - not bad, not bad..
Buy your tickets at given site as soon as possible, the race is on!

In the next week me and the band are going on a three day tour 20 - 23rd of August in Västerås, Sala and at last Voxfestivalen in Varberga - Örebro.

This time we will perform as a trio, since Magnus (the pianist) is "away on business".
We will miss him, but anyhow we'll do our best to give great concerts.
New songs are in the rehearsing so to hear them you better show up!

Mohlavyr is back in town and are very pleased about her trip in south France.
It has been a great adventure to experience the country and aswell the people I've been living and played music with.

Tomorrow morning I'm going to Toulose, France to participate in a cultural, musical and political exchange project! The event will last for three weeks and I'm joining it with my accordion and perhaps some vocals!
Many concerts are promised around the city, wish me good luck with this project!
Afterwards I will be staying for an additional week for some time off with the strikingly handsome cellist in my band. :-D
